Game carries message

Patrick Winn, Staff Writer

On Friday at four area middle schools, some the world's best badminton players will show kids their skills. Howard Bach and Tony Gunawan, the men's doubles gold medalists at last year's world championships, will play an exhibition match against the top Canadian duo, Will Milroy and Mike Beres.

The foursome will face off Friday at two Alamance County middle schools, Chapel Hill's Smith Middle School and Durham School of the Arts.

The athletes will deliver a stick-with-education message to gyms full of students.

At 8 p.m. Saturday, the players will come back to Durham School of the Arts to play for the public. Adults have to pay $10 apiece, but kids get in free.
