For the third time, UNC faced the 'World Team' assembled from players of badminton RTP,
Duke and NC State badminton clubs and for the first time, the World team prevailed by
the slimmest of margins, 8 matches to 7.
Thanks to Ke and her committee at UNC for doing the arrangements and thanks to the players
for some super matches, many of which went to three games. This year a number of mixed
doubles/women's doubles matches were included. Rumor has it that a rematch may be scheduled
for the spring and that the field of players and events may be expanded still more.
The caliber of play for this event continues to improve.
